Parts of Upper Great Lakes to Greet Fall with Snow

September 21, 2012

This year, the fall equinox is expected to be at 11:49 am EST, or 7:49 am PST on September 22, 2012.

However, despite it being only fall, near freezing temperatures and possible flurries are expected over the upper Great Lakes, and extending to Manitoba.

Overnight of September 21, 2012, snow will already start to fall in Southeastern sections of Manitoba, and Western Ontario. On the first day of fall, September 22, parts of Western Ontario and Minnesota will see some snow.

Snow fall will not be significant, and is not expected to stick. Only a few wet flurries are expected, mixed together with rain showers.
